The real site can be found at salfordsac.org.uk

The Salford Branch of The British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) was formed over 35 years ago. We have over 40 members of all grades ranging from Ocean Diver up to First Class.

We frequently go for outings in groups of up to 12, hiring boats for the purpose. Our members have dived in Gibraltar, Ireland, Egypt, The Maldives, France, Scotland, Wales, England, Spain, Sardinia, Indonesia, Florida, Sudan, Djibouti and Norway.

Living as we do in the Manchester area it is clear that a lot of travelling is involved and this is part of the cost of diving. Our nearest diving sites are 130 miles away and we often travel twice as far for a weekend outing.

TRY DIVES

Two swimming pool try dives are offered to all prospective members and are free at quiet times of the year.

COME AND JOIN US!

Or pop down to see us on a Monday night for a pint and a chat.

Marine Reserves now!

Marine Reserves now!

You may be one of the 100,000 people who signed up for "Marine Reserves Now!" on our website, at public events and visitor centres in 2008. You could have been at one of the UK's conservation-aware aquaria when you signed; or a diver reached through our joint campaign with the British Sub Aqua Club; or you may be receiving this message as a subscriber to the MCS E-News service.

Your help is needed once more! Please act now: visit www.marinereservesnow.org.uk and send a NEW message asking your MP to call for marine reserves and other important amendments in the Marine Bill (which is being debated in Parliament right now!).

2009 Annual General Meeting

Dear Club Member,

The club AGM will be held on Monday 26 January at 8pm in the Conservative Club. There will be no baths on that night.

I attach the Agenda for the evening and the minutes from the last AGM can be found under  Committee Minutes on the Club Menu.  If you would like to stand for election please obtain a nomination from two paid up members of the club. All the club positions are available for re-election. Proposals for election must be received by me no later than noon on the 25 January. If a position is contested a ballot will be held on the night of the AGM.

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas and New Year to all, didn't manage to see everyone at the last meeting, lets hope 2009 is a good year for the club.

Looking forward to getting in the water ASAP with you all.

Phil
